There are many reasons people seek election to a public office. Some want to achieve personal recognition, while others seek power or authority. Josh Black's reason for seeking the office of Brown County Sheriff is because of his proven dedication to serving the public. After nearly 30 years of public service, Josh Black is asking for your help in the upcoming Primary Election on Tuesday, March 6th, as he seeks the Democratic nomination for Brown County Sheriff. Josh Black is a life-long resident of Brown County. Born and raised in Mt. Orab, Josh began his career in community service at the young age of 14 when he joined the Mt. Orab Fire Department's Cadet Fire Fighters Program. While serving as a fire fighter, Josh also began pursuing his interest in law enforcement, and is currently in his 20th year by serving as Lieutenant on the Mt. Orab Police Department. Josh Black's training and knowledge spans a broad range of technical areas of law enforcement, and is a certified instructor in weapons training, peace officers training, and a certified rescue diver. If successfully nominated in the March 6th Primary Election, and elected sheriff on November 6, Josh promises to be a full-time sheriff for Brown County.
